There is something magickal about drawing a face. Each line tells its own story and the mind fleshes out a story for each image. These are the mythologies, which came to me upon the completion of these pages.
a young roman legionnaire
the seal on his armor
the healer
the green man
do you create biographies for the characters you draw?

Lovely drawings, and a very inspiring question at the end. Thank you for sharing your creative spirit, it ignites my own.

I always wonder what the story is behind the vintage pieces used in my jewelry.
Beautiful work!

i like these, friend. have you made your own deck before, pip? i don't really think of a story for a face i am painting. in some way, whatever is going on with me always plays out in what i am working on. so in a way, the dog isn't a dog, it's a problem or a celebration, or a song. miss you friend.
