Wow. You've had a hard year. There is nothing like facing our own fragility and mortality to get you thinking clearly and focusing on what is really important to you. I wish you the best on your new beginning!

Belinda

What a wonderful post, Pilar! And I LOVE this piece of artwork!! It's such a combination of unique, whimsical, clever, and eerie....DEFINITELY a piece that draws you in and makes you just want to stare at it!

This piece makes me say "I WANNA DO THAT!" or should I say Whine!? Giggle! happiest of belated dear one!

I think it is so different that you say "I'm not a real artist!"

And that although I have never sold anything, I proclaim myself to BE an artist.

It makes no difference in selling or keeping whether we have the ability to call one another an artist. It is the stamp on our souls that we MUST create that brings the title artist! You my dear ARE a real artist! No need for the "not good enoughs"...you HAVE to create! That in and of itself is ARTIST SPIRIT! : )

Just my humble experience! We don't have to have fame to be what we are! : )

And I am SO glad you are on the other side of last years birthday! Hugs
