I am not one to post photos of myself. Perhaps, it is hypersensitivity or vanity or some other issue, which is unknown to my conscious mind. That being said, I had the opportunity to take a few snaps ala playing around with the camera with my greyhound niece, Kona, the other day. Although the photos untouched were not going to win any prizes, they were perfect to tweak with filters and actions in PSE.
I like the way in these photos how the light hits Kona's elegant face and how I am in the shadows.
Using a Holga PS Action created by *rawimage on deviant art, I created this version of the photo.
One thing I have learned working with PSE is that you can take the worst photos and make them into something artful, fun, and sometimes, awesome. Next time you are looking at your digi card and see something that you are about to delete, run it through a few actions in PS or PSE, add a few filters or texture...just play around before you write the photo off. You might find you actually have something that is worth keeping.
I dunno why you are so hard on yourself-you are GOEGEOUS!! And Kona, so sweet. I love these pics! :) xox

brilliant - and am going to have to agree on the gorgeous comment... no more hiding! you are just revealing the face of the woman behind the art! i also love how the white of your smile is so enhanced by kona's fur... cheshire cat-ish in a way... but so genuine and warm...
